Teijin said it has developed two new Twaron and Technora para-aramid fibre fabrics to protect facilities such as lodges and evacuation shelters from airborne volcanic fragments measuring about 10 cms. “The new fabrics are designed and produced in accordance with the Japanese government's new regulations for strengthening evacuation facilities located near volcanos,” a Teijin press release said.
